You have clearly described ‘pregenerated’ character profiles and backgrounds so you  can hit the ground running. The story introduces game mechanics one at a time. This allows players to get used to the unique dice of the Star Wars RPG and combat rules bit-by-bit.

Even if you’re already decided about Edge of the Empire, this is a good introduction. It gives players a taste before they create their own characters from all the options in the Core Rulebook. Due to the game-learning involved, the plot might initially feel rail-roading to experienced role-players; they get more choice soon, however. Also, experienced GMs can easily provide more freedom with a little work on the story beforehand.
