Delivery Information

Shiny Games is focused on making its range of products available to gamers within the United Kingdom and Europe; increasingly gamers from further afield are choosing to shop with us. We are currently revising the international prices on our webstore. If it doesn’t seem to be giving you a reasonable price for overseas deliveries, please contact us for your delivery options and quotes.

UK Delivery

From 17th January 2018, we have simplified our UK delivery charges to make them clearer to customers and resolve technical issues with software we were previously using to determine the correct price. We continue to offer the best prices we can to customers, and our charges are modelled closely on the cost to us of shipping; however, they are no longer tied to a specific carrier.

Standard Delivery: This is a 2-3 day delivery service via either Royal Mail or our chosen courier service. The cost is £3.00+VAT for parcels that weigh up to 2kg (including packaging) and £6.19+VAT for orders over that weight. Delivery timescales are not guaranteed. There is no VAT on orders that contains only books.

Signed For Standard Delivery: As above, but the delivery company must get a signature from someone either at the address or a neighbour that they leave the order with. The cost is £4.00+VAT for parcels that weigh up to 2kg (including packaging) and £7.69+VAT for orders over that weight. There is no VAT on orders that contains only books.

We do not currently offer an express service, but if you require your order for a specific date please let us know and we will try and accommodate your situation.

January 2020 Northern Ireland Update: Due to rising courier delivery costs for Northern Ireland, orders for this area weighing 2kg or more will now be sent via Parcelforce (express48). The cost for this will be £9.45 (+VAT) for packages up to 5kg in weight and £12.35 (+VAT) for packages up to 10kg in weight.

European Delivery

Important change for EU customers from 1st January 2021: Now that the UK has left the European Union and the transition period has ended, EU-based customers will have to pay VAT on their order when it is imported into the EU. There may also be an additional handling charge.

For European orders, we offer Royal Mail Tracked & Signed (or Tracked options where Tracked & Signed isn’t available) to give customers more visibility of how their order is doing on it’s journey. Given the uncertainties in delivery that the pandemic and Brexit have brought, as of mid-August 2021 we are no longer using International Standard as it is not a tracked service and provides no visibility of an order’s status.

Note that we are currently revising our European courier delivery charges with an aim to provide cheaper prices for heavier orders via our webstore.

Special note on Russian and Belarusian Deliveries: Due to the current circumstances involving Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, we are not currently accepting orders from either Russia or Belarus.

Free Delivery (UK Only)

Free delivery is available on all orders with a value of £75 or more within the United Kingdom. Orders sent by Free Delivery will be sent in the same way as for Standard Delivery.

Occasionally, we may offer free delivery on lower value orders for a limited time using a voucher code. These voucher codes will normally be provided to customers who have signed up for our email newsletter; you can sign up for this at the bottom of the page.

When you order qualifies for free delivery this will normally be automatically selected for you during the checkout process, but please ensure that this is selected if available or you may be charged for delivery.

International Delivery

We have revised our international shipping charges and a range of international shipping options are available via the webstore. Should there not be a shipping option for your order on the webstore then contact us to get a quote for delivery based on what you wish to order.

Customers are responsible for any import charges or taxes levied by their government. These are not the responsibility of Shiny Games.

Special note for Non-European Deliveries: Due to delays in orders reaching international customers outside Europe, we currently only offer tracked services to international addresses. We anticipate resuming non-tracked services internationally as soon as the current circumstances have improved.

Despatch and Delivery Times

We aim to despatch all orders within two business days of receipt and payment. If we become aware that any part of the process will fall outside these timescales, we will make you aware of this as soon as possible.


If your order includes preorders, then delivery of the whole order will not normally take place until the preordered product becomes available for delivery. We may, at our discretion, ship the rest of your order sooner but if you want to ensure that you get the non-preorder items as soon as possible, it’s best to make your preorder separately; you may pay more postage overall, but your in-stock items will not be delayed.
